Open Play: open play is offered as pre- and post-season practice; any players interested in participating are welcome to attend. Session details will be updated following regular season play. Players can pick-and-choose based on their availability. As of Spring 2023, Open Play uses the following schedule:
Mondays: 6:00-7:30 PM at North Elementary (joint practice with the Junior High Girls)
Thursdays: 6:00-7:30 PM at North Elementary (with the Junior High Girls)
Open Play will run between the following dates:
April 5 - May 12
May 31 - June 30
July12 - July 21
*It is strongly encouraged that all players attend as many Open Play sessions as possible. Not only does this provide pre-season practice and calisthenics, but a larger group provides more opportunity for full-team drills and plays, focus on individual field positions, and team building/camraderie amongst the players, all of which will benefit us during the regular season.
Pre-Season Practice Schedule: Both teams are required to have 10 official practices before their first game in August, but these cannot start any earlier than the last week of July. This means the practice schedule will be very compact at the start of the season, with practices likely being every night. Anticipate blocking out your evening schedules during these first couple of weeks as the Evansville league may possibly prohibit players from participating until they have completed their 10 practices. There will be Open Play several nights each week throughout the summer, but attendance at these practices will not count towards the 10 required for season play.
